Choosing a location can be daunting

Let's find one together

Let’s think about location, one of the most important elements of each session. It’s how you decide what to wear. It’s what I refer to before I start planning out poses and prompts. It sets the stage, the vibe, and the theme.
Choosing a location doesn’t have to feel intimidating.

If you’ve booked this shoot because you want some photos printed, consider where you’ll be hanging these prints. Do you want the lush green of a forest? Or the muted cool tones of a beach? Do you want wide open spaces with lots of blue sky? Or the urban grey of a city?

Depending on who’s coming to the shoot, we may have some logistics to consider. For any shoots with expectant moms, little kids, people with mobility impairments, or the elderly, let’s not pick anywhere that requires climbing over giant boulders or hiking up a canyon. In fact, the closer the location to the parking lot, the better.

Below are some of my favorite locations. I'm sure you'll love them too.

Wild Daisy Farm

Located in the quaint town of Molena, GA - Wild Daisy Farm is by far the most popular and most beautiful farm around here. The owners are always adding new little things, always keep it in tip top shape, and the property is easily accessible.

1 hour sessions are an additional $40 that is paid to the owner.

Nash Farms

A historic battlefield is now 204 acre park located in Hampton, GA. Filled with tall grass fields, a couple old buildings, and a pond in the back (to fish might I add) is a beautiful location. In my experience, it's never packed so those who may be a bit camera or people shy, this is the place.

A soft portrait shows someone in blue holding delicate baby's breath flowers in golden sunlight.
A red convertible sports car parked in an open field with two people relaxing against it at sunset.

Indian Springs

One of top places I always recommend is Indian Springs State park in Flovilla, GA. A cascading waterfall and a stone pavilion makes the perfect backdrop for any session. During springtime, all the flowers are in bloom and surround the park in luscious green fields. A $5 parking fee gets us in there until dawn. This location is not wheelchair friendly, as most walkways are stone and stairs.

Turnip Seed Farms

A charming property located in Fayetteville, GA, is a photographer's playground! Two ponds, flower fields everywhere, and old style buildings. The owner truly takes pride in his property and also hosts painting classes!

As of February of 2024, they are currently closed and will reopen in July. Fingers crossed because it is truly a gem of a place to visit!

There is a $50 additional fee that is paid directly to the owner for upkeeping. The property is fairly easy to get around and has lots of things to take photos around.

Downtown Senoia

Looking for the downtown vibe? I got you and Senoia is the picture perfect location of GA. A small town filled with unique shops, yummy restaurants, and a walks worth of pretty little backgrounds. Enjoy the bustle of the little town and fall in love.
